WHAT?!?!?!

About five years ago, 40-year-old Steve Crecelius of Denver, Colorado had a KIDNEY STONE and went to the hospital.  And he got a fascinating diagnosis:  "Yes, it's a kidney stone . . . and by the way, you're actually a WOMAN."

--That's right.  Turns out Steve is intersex . . . that's the modern term for hermaphrodite.

--He had working male genitalia on the outside, and FEMALE sex organs on the inside that he never knew about.  And it sort of made sense to Steve, since he says he'd always FELT like a woman.

--He says, quote, "I remember wearing my mom's clothes and makeup, very secretly, not telling anybody."  Now that he found out he could actually be classified as both a woman and a man, he decided to go full-on woman.

--That made things a little awkward with his wife Debbie and their six kids, and they say it was hard . . . but eventually they accepted Steve's choice to go by 'Stevie' and live as a woman.  Stevie and Debbie still share a bed.
