Well friends and neighbors, my story begins with my parents (obviously). During their honeymoon here in St. Louis, they went over to the Anheuser-Busch brewery to take the tour and ended up drinking quit a bit in the hospitality room. From there, it was off to the Gateway Arch, where they were trapped in one of the elevators for several hours, needless to say Mom and Dad made the most of it. The first twenty-six years of my life were spent up the Mississippi River in Minnesota. Somehow, I managed to swindle my way into radio at the age of fifteen in my hometown of Owatonna, Minnesota. And it came to pass on a cold, dark night at the crossroads that I was approached by the devil who said he would make me the greatest disc jockey the world would ever know in exchange for my soul. Not having it on me at the time, I asked what three dollars and the keys to my 1978 Ford LTD would get me. For me, college was a joke so it was no surprise I dropped out of St. Cloud State University. But while I was there, I worked at four more radio stations. Following that it was onto Minneapolis, where I would spend the next five years working at three stations. After taking a little break from radio, Jack Buck came to me in a dream one night. He showed me visions of a giant stainless steel monument on the banks of a mighty river, a legendary baseball team and their stadium, toasted raviolis, frozen custard and a wagon filled with beer being pulled by clydesdales. All in a city that parties like none other. So I sold the farm, kept my straw hat, bought a pair of coveralls, wrapped my belongings in a piece of cloth tied to a stick, built a raft out of tree limbs and sailed down the mighty Mississippi river. A few days later I spotted that giant silver arch from my dreams and decided like Lewis Clark that this would be a good place to start a journey. Then as luck would have it, I managed to score the afternoon slot on the best radio station in town, Z107-7. Listen to my show and drink tonight, for tomorrow...we ride!
